FITTING INFORMATION

  • 1.5" Female NPT Fittings are closed or sealed - fitting is water tight - remove membrane with razor knife to use
  • .5" Female NPT Fittings are open
  • Spout -- 1.25" Outer Diameter x 2" Long Boss Fitting (Smooth Pipe / Spout) fitting is open and glue does not stick to pipe, hose with clamp needed
  • Loose Fittings and Hose that will connect to the installed tank fittings can be found in the Plumbing Category (parts not included with tank)

What is the difference between a Stock Tank and a Spouted Tank?
Class A Customs Stock Water Tanks Typically have - verify fittings before purchasing
Two) 1.5" Female NPT Fitting - fitting is sealed to use remove membrane with razor knife
Two) .5" Female NPT Fitting - fitting is open

Class A Customs Spouted Water Tanks Typically have - verify fittings before purchasing
One) 1.25" Outer Diameter x 2" Long Boss Fitting (Smooth Pipe / Spout) fitting is open and glue does not stick to pipe, hose with clamp needed
Three) .5" Female NPT Fitting - fitting is open

Class A Customs manufactures tanks for multiple companies, we do not install the tanks, and we are not aware of the location the tank is placed in the RV or Sprinter.
We do not give recommendations on tanks to purchase.

If you are trying to replace a tank
  • Look at current tank to see part #
  • Check with vehicle manufacturer, be sure you have vehicle make and model #
  • Vehicle build sheet may have information
  • Online Search, check with hobby groups
  • You may not be able to find the same tank, especially in older units.
  • You may not be able to purchase from the tank manufacturer.

Can you make me a Custom Water Tank?
Class A Customs makes custom tanks, please review the following information:
  • You would need to prepay to have a mold made this ranges from $9,000 and up, lead time can be 8 weeks or more.
  • You would need to prepay for the qty of tanks your sales rep quoted you, build time can take 2 - 4 weeks depending on qty.

Food Vendors you will need to check with your inspecting Health Department on rules and requirements, do this before purchasing.






Before you build or modify ----- verify rules and regulations.
Codes vary by local health departments, not state.
We are not aware of the codes or rules. We are not aware of what tanks or items you need.
  • Ask your local Health Department to provide you with a list of water tank manufacturers that have the NSF logo built into the water tank.
  • Forward the documents and tank information provided on the Class A Customs website to your local health department before purchasing to be sure these tanks will pass your local inspection, this is your responsibility.
  • Class A Customs NSF Letterthis letter has all fresh/gray tank sizes, part #'s, measurements and fittings, along with material tank is made from.





Why is there no NSF logo in the tank?
Can I get an NSF logo on my tank?
Class A Customs was required to remove the NSF logo from all water tanks we manufacture in June 2020, the tanks continue to be made from the same NSF Certified Materials, built in the same way, built on the same machines, and built in the same building here at Class A Customs.

The NSF Company does not allow end users of NSF Certified Materials to use the NSF logo unless each kind of item that is produced has a certification paid for each year. This would mean every style of tank Class A Customs makes, even though they are made using the same NSF Certified Materials and made using the same process, we would need to pay to use the logo on each item, every year at a substantial cost.

All Class A Customs Fresh/Gray Water Tanks are manufactured using

Material is safe for Potable Water Materials – Class A Customs Fresh/Gray tanks are safe to be used for fresh or drinking water storage or gray water storage.

The temperature used during testing is 60 +/- 2°C (140 +/- 4 °F) and appears in Listings as "D. Hot". This is intended to apply to product applications where the product is used for either cold (ambient temperatures) or hot water up to domestic hot temperatures.

Because Class A Customs was verified to use and continues to use NSF Certified Materials to build our tanks,
Class A Customs is allowed to link directly to the NSF Website Materials Page and
Class A Customs is allowed to state the tanks are made from NSF Certified Materials.

Fitting Information

  • 3” ABS Female Pipe - outlet can not be moved
  • 1.5" ABS Female Pipe - outlet can not be moved - Due to the smaller outlet this tank is for dirty water from shower, handwashing, dish-washing - DO NOT use for human waste
NO Inlet or Vent installed, end user will determine where the inlet and vent will need to be placed and install. (parts not included with tank)
